Why LED?

Why switch to LED?

Being energy-efficient and environmentally conscious has progressed from simply being a good idea to a way of life.

It's not just for consumers but for businesses looking to cut their overhead expenditures by reducing their carbon footprint and appealing to a more green-savvy clientele. Switching to LED lights is one way for companies to be on the cutting edge of corporate concern for their energy expenditure. LED lighting is now beginning to revolutionize the lighting market, offer consumers huge savings, and give them peace of mind by being highly energy-efficient, long-lasting, and environment-friendly. Below, find out more about the advantages of switching to LED lighting.

Benefits

Critical features of LED lighting.

Long Service life, low maintenance

LED light sources last longer, avoiding the hassle of frequently changing light bulbs. This significantly reduces waste but also saves money in the long term energy saving.

Efficiency

Compared to traditional lighting solutions, LEDs have very high efficiency because to produce the same light output, the energy consumption is deficient in the case of LEDs. LED lights are up to 80% more efficient than traditional lighting, such as fluorescent and incandescent lights, as 95% of the energy in LEDs is converted into light, and only 5% is wasted as heat. Hence, low energy usage is a relief not just to us but to the environment, too!

No UV/IR radiation

Contrary to general lighting systems and CFLs, LEDs radiate very little heat in the form of IR, which can cause damage to objects or fabrics.

Green by design - No Mercury content

CFLs contain mercury, which, if not handled or disposed of properly, CFLs can contaminate air and water supply as well as landfills with deadly compounds. Disposal has to be arranged through a registered waste carrier, so switching to LED avoids the cost and time implications required for disposal. It helps to protect the environment from further toxic waste.

Instant Illumination

Unlike many conventional light sources, LEDs light up instantly and take only a few microseconds to achieve full brightness.

Optics

Point source forms of LEDs ensure proper control of light distribution with the help of secondary optics like lenses and diffusers.

Excellent Color Rendering

The Color Rendering Index measures a light source's ability to show object colors "realistically" or "naturally" compared to a familiar reference source, either incandescent light or daylight. The excellent color rendering properties of LEDs are owed to technological advancements.
